The One Show’s Alex Jones has given birth to her first child with husband, Charlie Thompson!
And going the extra mile for her birthing announcement, Alex actually rang in to the show to announce that she has welcomed a baby boy.
The television presenter, who gave birth just three weeks after starting her maternity leave, had a quick chat with co-hosts Matt Baker and Angela Scanlon about the birth.
“I do have some news – our beautiful, healthy little baby boy was born!” she revealed. “We’re absolutely delighted – we’re completely in love with him. It’s the most wonderful feeling.”
But what about a name for her new bundle of joy?
“We’re a bit behind on the whole names thing!” she admitted, saying that she thought they’d ‘know’ when their baby arrived. Alex even said that she would appreciate help from the viewers for name ideas.
Speaking a bit about the birth, Alex said: “It was all very straightforward, Charlie was with me, Mum and Dad were in the waiting room – because we didn’t know whether it was a boy or a girl.”
“The last four days have been heaven – we’re in a bubble, the three of us, and it’s just the best time,” she gushed.
