Amber Tamblyn has become a first time mum after welcoming a baby girl with her husband, David Cross!
She used Instagram to share the news, sharing a video of her baby’s tiny foot. Amber captioned it humourously with: “David and I are proud to announce the birth of our daughter, Dauphinoise Petunia Brittany Scheherazade Von Funkinstein Mustard Witch RBG Cross Tamblyn-Bey jr.”
We’re really glad that’s not her daughter’s actual name!
Amber, who is best known for her role in “The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants,” gave birth not long after her close friend Blake Lively did (Blake gave birth to her second daughter in October). She attended Amber and David’s wedding back in 2012, along with her husband Ryan Reynolds, Amy Poehler, America Ferrera, Alexis Bledel, Kristen Schaal and Jason Ritter.
In an essay she wrote for “Glamour” magazine, Amber talked about motherhood: “I’ve been thinking about motherhood a lot lately. What it means to be one, what it means to have one, what it means to know one, what it means to make decisions as one and have conversations as one,” she wrote.
“Motherhood has been heavily on my mind because I am going to be a mother soon. I’m pregnant, with a daughter on the way. I think constantly about the world I am bringing her into.”
Congratulations to the happy couple!
