Helen Skelton announced yesterday that she’s expecting her second child with husband Richie Myler.
Helen annunced the news on her Instagram, having uploaded a photo of her eldest holding a blackboard saying: “Ready for my partner in crime, due spring 2017.” She captioned the photo “Three getting set to become four.”
During an interview earlier this year with the “Daily Mail” Helen opened up about the struggles of motherhood and her work: “Ernie has turned my life upside down – in the best possible way. He needs me 24 hours a day, seven days a week and I’m pretty much the only person who can look after him – so I love being a mum, but it is full on.”
“At the same time I love my job and I have worked a long time to get where I am in my career. I have got bills to pay and I want to keep my hand in because on one day he won’t need me as much so the question is – can I do both?” she added.
It seems to us that Helen has developed a great work-life balance and is ready to tackle the ups and downs of having a second baby.
The “Blue Peter” alum made a name for herself with her coverage of the Rio Olympics this summer. She married Richie, a professional rugby player, back in 2013 and had their first child, 17-month-old Ernie, in June 2015.
Congrats to the happy couple! We wonder what she’ll choose to name her second child (perhaps Bert, if it’s a boy?)
