Benedict Cumberbatch is expecting his second child with his wife, Sophie Hunter!
The couple are already parents to their one-year-old son, Christopher Carlton Cumberbatch, who was born last June.
The “Sherlock” star hit the red carpet in Los Angeles with Sophie to promote his latest film, Marvel’s superhero flick, “Doctor Strange,” on Thursday night.
Benedict and Sophie got married on Valentines Day 2015 in a private ceremony on the Isle of Wright in front of their family and friends. Among the guests who attended was Martin Freeman, Benedict’s co-star in “Sherlock” and “The Hobbit.”
They announced Sophie’s first pregnancy two months after they got married.
Benedict is famous for keeping busy and filming one thing after another, but the workaholic makes time for his family. Friends of the couple are quick to say how good of a father Benedict is, though! “If he puts the same amount of dedication and love into raising his child as he does into his work, he is going to be the greatest dad of all time,” said Allen Leech, who was Benedict’s co-star in “The Imitation Game.”
