Ultimate geek girl, Felicia Day, is having a baby!
The 37-year-old American actress, who is famous for her roles on “Buffy the Vampire Slayer,” “Supernatural” and the Internet web series “Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog,” revealed that she is expecting her first child, a daughter, on Instagram and Twitter to her 2.91 million followers.
Felicia posted a selfie of her baby bump and captioned it: “She’s coming in like three weeks so I guess I should announce this and stuff.” It looks as if she’s is a pro at keeping things a secret! Fans were understandably shocked and Felicia responded to them with: “Thank you this is the reaction I wanted.”
She also said that the only reason she was announcing it now was that she might end up giving birth early.
Her “Supernatural” costars were also quick to jump in with their congratulations. Misha Collins, who plays Castiel on the show, said “Congrats on creating a tiny human, @FeliciaDay! (If you need a sitter, you know my number.)” while Jared Padalecki, who is one of the main characters on the show, wanted to set up a date with his sons and Felicia’s new daughter.
“WOOHOO!!! Do you think she’ll like older men?!?! (My sons. Not me… Creepo.) #CONGRATS’,” Jared joked.
While she has revealed her pregnancy, Felicia has said nothing about who the father is. She has dated “Firefly” star Nathan Fillion in the past, but is currently not in a relationship.
Congrats to Felicia – hopefully she will share news about her baby’s name in a more timely manner!
