“Love Island” star Cara de la Hoyde recently revealed that she is expecting a baby with her ex-boyfriend, Nathan Massey. The couple, who met on the show and dated for a year, recently split up. It was only two weeks after their break up that Cara revealed the shocking news that she is pregnant.
However, Cara is delighted that she is having this baby and even though she and Nathan will not be getting back together, she seems ready to tackle motherhood!
Cara’s due date is in November 2017, so she will be having a winter baby. “I’m having a winter baby and I’m really excited,” she said in an interview with “OK!” magazine.
She will also be having her baby just in time for her “Love Island” co-star, Olivia Buckland’s, wedding. “I said to her the other day: ‘My baby is going to be at your wedding!’ I’d love her to be the godmother, so I’m hoping she will turn maternal. I rely on her a lot for support,” Cara said.
Cara also opened up a bit about when she found out she was pregnant: “It’s come as a massive surprise. It’s the biggest secret I’ve ever had to keep, so it’s a nice weight off my shoulders to be able to tell people.”
She also said that her first 12-week scan was very emotional. “They showed me a healthy baby with a strong heartbeat,” she said. “I don’t think I can describe anything like hearing the heartbeat. You instantly fall in love, and seeing your baby makes it real.”
