After all of the speculation, rumours and secretiveness, it has finally happened – Cheryl and Liam Payne have welcomed a baby boy!
Cheryl confirmed the news on her Instagram, sharing a photo of Liam holding his new bundle of joy. She captioned the photo: “On Wednesday 22nd March Liam and I became parents to an incredibly beautiful, healthy baby boy, weighing 7lb 9 and looking like a dream. Although he still doesn’t have a name he is already stealing hearts. We are all madly in love and overwhelmingly happy with our little arrival. Happy Mother’s Day to all the mothers around the world. A day that now has a different meaning to me forever 💙”
Rumours have been circling the couple for months after pictures of Cheryl emerged back in November, where she was snapped sporting a small baby bump. She gave a more definitive answer when pictures of her L’Oreal campaign were released last month, where she looked like she was very close to giving birth. Despite all the picture evidence, neither Cheryl not Liam had verbally confirmed the pregnancy.
This is the first child for both Cheryl and Liam. The couple first met when 17-year-old Liam auditioned on “The X Factor,” where Cheryl was a judge.
They reconnected a few years later and began dating in September 2016, after Cheryl split from her ex-husband, Jean Bernard Fernandez-Versini.
While they haven’t chosen a name yet, we here at Babynames.co.uk are waiting with baited breath for her announcement!
