Emmerdale’s Lucy Pargeter has welcomed twin baby girls with her fiancé, Rudi Coleano!
A spokesperson for the couple has confirmed the news and released a statement saying: “Lucy Pargeter and Rudi Coleano are delighted to announce the birth of their twin girls who were born on Thursday April 13. All are happy and healthy and Lola is delighted to have finally become a big sister.”
This must be welcome news for the couple as they have finally conceived after several failed rounds of IVF. They have been very candid with their fertility struggle and have said that it has taken them 11 years to conceive. They are already parents to 11-year-old Lola, but have since been trying to expand their family.
While Lucy has said that the IVF process has been devastating at times, she didn’t give up hope: “When it failed, it was devastating after all the drugs, preparation and all the mental stress we were put through,” she told “OK!” magazine.
“We had two [eggs] put in the first time and they didn’t stick. We hoped one would stick, but both did!” she continued.
Lucy found out that she was having girls around December at her five-month scan and said that it was the best Christmas present.
The couple have yet to release any other details about their twins, but we wait with baited breath for their names! Congratulations to the happy couple!
