“Emmerdale” star Roxy Shahidi is expecting her first child with husband Arsher Ali!
The happy couple are expecting a baby girl and talked to “OK!” magazine about their pregnancy news.
“To be honest, I was absolutely terrified when I saw the test was positive,” Roxy said. “I burst into tears. We had only been trying for a few weeks and I was sure it was going to take us much longer! It took a few weeks before I got my head around it but, once I did, I was filled with joy.”
Roxy and Arsher, who have been married since 2010, made the decision to find out the sex of their baby through a blood test.
“We’re having a girl,” Arsher said. “We both wanted to find out so we had the NIPT [non-invasive prenatal testing] blood test at 12 weeks. There hasn’t been a girl in my family for 20 years so everyone on my side is pretty excited for us.”
