Leicester City and England footballer, Jamie Vardy, has announced that his wife, Rebekah, has given birth to a son!
The proud dad shared the news on his Twitter, writing: “Over the moon to announce the arrival of our gorgeous little boy on Sunday evening! Mummy and baby doing great!”
The couple were expecting their baby to be due January 21st, but he made a surprise appearance two weeks early.
This is Jamie’s third child, as he is already dad to six-year-old Ella, from his previous relationship with Emma Daggett. He and Rebekah are parents to Sofia, 22-months.
Rebekah has kept quiet about the birth on social media, although she did announce the sex of her baby in a Winter Wonderland themed-party just last month.
She also opened about her pregnancy to “OK! Magazine,” told that not talking about her pregnancy was “the biggest secret” she’s had to keep.
Speaking candidly in the interview, Rebekah also talked about the reactions she got from her family about the big reveal. “The first Vardy boy is a big deal for Jamie – it’s his first little boy,” she said. “He’ll have a lot to live up to. I think Jamie secretly hoped for a boy, but ultimately we just want a healthy baby.”
Congrats to the happy couple and we can’t wait to find out what they chose to call their little boy!
