Kerry Washington has recently given birth to baby number two – and it’s a boy!
The actress, 38, best known for playing badass Olivia Pope on the hit ABC show “Scandal”, welcomed her second child with husband Nnamdi Asomugha, 35, on October 5th.
The couple already have a two-year-old daughter together, Isabelle Amarachi.
Kerry was seen rocking her baby bump last month on the red carpet when she attended the 2016 Emmy Awards, where she was nominated for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Limited Series for her role in HBO’s “Confirmation.”
Kerry and Nnamdi have named their son Caleb Kelechi, a combination of a traditional Hebrew name and a Nigerian name, most likely in honour of Nnamdi’s Nigerian roots and also in keeping with how they have named their daughter.
Caleb means “dog” in Hebrew, referring to the loyalty of one of Moses’ followers on the journey to the Promised Land, while Kelechi translates to “Glorify God” or “Thank God” in English. What a great name!
Congratulations to the happy couple!
