As we posted back in December, “Hollyoaks” star Kieron Richardson and his husband, Carl Hyland, revealed they are expecting twins in an adorable Christmas video. The expectant parents have recently revealed a few more baby details, much to the excitement of fans.
Speaking to Digital Spy, Kieron says that their twins will be a boy and a girl: “Our mums have done most of the buying so far. We wanted to wait to see whether we needed to buy pink or blue, but now we know we can buy both colours, as we’re having our very own Prince and Princess,” he gushed.
As for the baby names, Kieron has revealed what they won’t be called – Leah and Lucas. The actor, who plays on-screen father Ste Hay, said that while he has had plenty of practice with his on-screen children, he will not be naming his real life children after them as it would be “weird.”
The couple, who tied the knot in 2015, have successfully conceived through IVF after four failed attempts. For a long time, Kieron thought fatherhood was not in his cards.
“I’m most excited about making what I thought was the unachievable, a reality,” he said. “And having a family unit and being able to share a love with these little things that I never dreamt was a possibility.”
