Hollyoak’s star Kieron Richardson has welcomed a set of twins with his husband, Carl Hyland, through surrogacy!
The couple took to Instagram to announce the happy news, sharing a picture of two tiny hospital bracelets that also revealed the names they have chosen for their children. Kieron captioned the photo: “Welcome Chase and Phoebe Rae x.” Their full names are Chase and Pheobe Hyland-Richardson.
They were born on 22nd May, with Chase born at 6:11pm and Phoebe born at 6:34pm, making Chase the older brother.
Kieron revealed that he and Carl were expecting twins back in December, right around Christmas time. They filmed a video that featured a large sign that said “Baby on board.”
Their twins come after 14 months of struggling to start a family and both Kieron and Carl underwent four failed IVF attempts.
“I’m having two babies, which is absolutely brilliant, by a surrogate. We tried really hard for it.” Kieron said in an interview with “This Morning.”
“I understand when people in heterosexual relationships want to have a baby, you go to bed, you have a womb, but its not that easy for us,” he continued.
Many congratulations to Kieron and Carl! They must be overjoyed after their long wait to become parents!
