Cary Grant’s (1904-1986) birth name was actually Archibald Leach. Despite the rather unattractive name, Cary Grant became one of classic Hollywood’s most famous and charming leading men. He has worked with many of classic Hollywood’s famous actresses, often working with them on Alfred Hitchcock films such as: “Suspicion”, “Notorious”, “To Catch a Thief” and “North by Northwest”. Cary is an English name meaning “stream” and Cary Grant himself made the name very popular in the mid-20th century.
