Henry Ford

Henry Ford was an American industrialist and founder of the Ford Motor Company. He invented the assembly line technique of mass production, which is still in use in factories today. He also developed and manufacted the Model T car, the first affordable automobile that middle class Americans could afford. Comprised of haim (home) and ric (power; ruler), Henry is a German name adopted by Normans who introduced it to Britain. The name was borne by numerous British kings including Henry VIII in the Tudor period.
