Minnie Mouse

Minnie is one half of the world’s most famous mouse couple. She has appeared alongside Mickey in various cartoons since their creation in 1928. She is known for her sweet personality and intelligence, as well as her feminity and trademark outfit (a red and white polka-dot dress, matching hair bow and yellow heels). Minnie is a feminine name which came about as the pet form of Wilma and Wilhelmina. Both of these names are feminine variants of the name William, which is of Old German origin and is said to mean ‘Seeking Protection’.
