Orson Welles (1915-1985) was an American actor and innovative director both on stage and on screen. He was the director and star of “Citizen Kane”, which is consistently ranked as the greatest film of all time. In addition, he also made several high profile and famous radio broadcasts, the most well-known is “The War of the Worlds”. The name Orson comes from the French nickname meaning “bear”.
