Olympic swimmer Ryan Lochte has welcomed his first child, a son, with his fiancée, Kayla Rae Reid!
Ryan took to Twitter to announce the happy news, writing: “‘Never seen a miracle happen before. Until this morning at 5:46 am when CAIDEN ZANE LOCHTE was born.” He also said that he “Can’t stop crying from tears of joy. Dream come true!” and that his son was born 7 lbs., 14 oz., and measured 22 inches long.
The happy couple announced that they were expecting back in December with a cute Instagram post where he shared a photo of him kissing Kayla’s belly underwater.
Both Ryan and Kayla opened up to “People” magazine back in January about their shared excitement over their son.
“When you have a kid, your entire life changes in so many ways,” Kayla said. “We’re both in this realm of shock like, ‘What’s going to happen?’ There is going to be so much good change.”
“One of my biggest fears in life is not being a good dad. I want to be able to be there every step of the way and teach them all of the things I’ve learned through my career and my life and be there for them and be that loving caring father,” Ryan added.
