For those who were watching this year’s Pride of Britain Awards and were expecting Peter Andre to show up, he has a very good reason why he pulled out.
Peter and his wife, Emily MacDonagh, are expecting their second child together and on the night of the awards, Peter said it was a bit “touch-and-go” with her pregnancy.
He told New! Magazine that he had to ditch the awards last minute because he “couldn’t risk [them] being there in case [Emily] went into labour.”
Emily had an early pregnancy before with her first child, Millie. She told OK! Magazine: “I’m due mid-December but I had Millie three weeks early, so it could come in six weeks’ time! I could also end up having the baby really close to Christmas. We’re just going to make sure we’re super-organised for whenever the baby arrives.”
The couple have not found out the sex of their baby yet, but Peter is hoping for a boy and is a bit of a traditionalist when it comes to names: “Strong names, like James, Arthur, Oscar and Max.”
And for a girl? “I love names like Rose, Elizabeth or Mary,” Peter said.
