Pharrell Williams has welcomed triplets with his wife, Helen Lasichanh!
A spokesperson for the singer confirmed that the couple welcomed their babies earlier this month, “Vanity Fair” reports.
While they have not revealed the genders or the names of their triplets, the spokesperson said that they are “happy and healthy.”
This must have been quite a surprise for the singer, as there did not seem to be any sign from Helen’s baby bump that they were going to have three children.
The couple, who have been married since 2013, are also parents to their eight-year-old son, Rocket. They revealed that they were expecting again last year at a special dinner hosted by Chanel to celebrate their new fragrance, Chanel No. 5 L’eau.
Pharrell recently spoke to Oprah about why he named his son Rocket: “In the same way the Indians named their children after a force or animal or element, we named him after a man-made machine that was meant to go up, meant to ascend,” he explained.
We wonder if he will have the same mindset when choosing names for his triplets? It’s a lovely sentiment and we think it would be wonderful if he made it a tradition with all his children.
Congrats to the happy couple!
