This week, we have another bath-related item to share with you all. We are testing the Munchkin Dandy Dots Bath Mat, so read on for our unbiased and independent review of this product.

DESIGN
We love the design of this bath mat. It is cute, fun and vibrant, while the colourful dots make the otherwise rather dull looking bath mat really pop. We think that the dots will also be a great tool to help young children to learn different colours, especially for those who love bath time and tend to spend quite a while in the tub. It is also gender neutral so is appropriate for families with boys and girls. What we also love is that the design, while appealing to children, isn’t childish, so can be placed in the tub to be used by older children and adults. This bath mat doesn’t make your bathroom look like a children’s playground!
In addition, there are multiple suction pads underneath the mat, which means it is very secure when you stick it to your bath tub. The dots on the bath mat are also slightly raised so it is indeed very much non-slip and is great for keeping your children safe in the bath, whether they are standing up or sitting down.
This bath mat is also slightly larger than the ones on the market (it measures 30.5″ (L) x 14.25″ (W)) and is ideal for those who want to cover a larger portion of the bath tub.
MATERIAL
One of the best things about this bath mat is that the rubber is BPA and latex free, which is a must for parents who have children with a latex allergy or are particularly sensitive to synthetic chemicals. The rubber itself is of good quality as it is thick yet flexible – it is durable but still able to be rolled up if you want to put it away. In addition, the mat is free of any mould issues (which often plagues the underside of bath mats) and is incredibly easy to clean with a quick rinse. We thought that the white colour would make become grubby or grey over time, but we have had no issue with that either.
If you want to keep your bath mat extra clean, however, we recommend giving it a good airing every couple of uses to make absolutely sure there is no build up of any kind.
SPECIAL FEATURES
The best thing about this bath mat is it’s flexibility, not just in material but design. We think this bath mat could even be purchased before the birth of your child, as pregnant women can use it as a non-slip mat to keep them safe in the bath. The simple dots design is also very timeless and can still appeal to your child as they grow. Again, the dots would be a great way to help children learn the names of various colours, helping to keep them entertained while they are taking a bath.
