This time, we take a break from all the bath time products to test out the Munchkin To Go Bib. Read on for our unbiased and independent thoughts on the product.

DESIGN
The bibs are designed with both boys and girls in mind. The bib we were sent was blue and green, featuring a construction scene with tractors, cranes and bricks. It’s a fun, vibrant design that makes feeding time a little more fun. The crumb catcher has an appealing striped green pattern and a subtle Munchkin logo that doesn’t distract from the overall design. The bib is also available in yellow, blue and pink, with a variety of different themes.
In terms of size, it measures 26.3 x 1 x 37.5 cm, which we think is a good size that balances its purpose as a bib and a to go carrier pouch. We think this dual use design is extremely clever and very convenient for mums on the go. Not only can you carry around feeding accessories such as spoons and forks, it can be rolled up and easily attached to a stroller or diaper bag. When used as a bib, the pouch acts as a crumb catcher to help avoid messes during feeding time (we find it especially useful when feeding the baby out in public, where you want to avoid embarrassing messes at all costs).
We think that this bib can be used from early weaning though to toddlerhood, as long as it still fits around your child’s neck.
MATERIAL
The bib itself is made from a strong, PVC-free plastic. This is very important as children are more susceptible to toxins in plastic, so it is good to know that Munchkin has safety in mind when creating this product. While it is plastic, it is soft and light so it doesn’t dig into your child’s neck.
Since it is plastic, it is also very easy to clean. Since you can’t put this bib in the dishwasher or washing machine, it needs to be cleaned with a damp cloth. We found that any spilled sauces are very easily wiped off and the crumb catcher just needs to be turned inside out to remove any dropped food, then clean as necessary.
We have also noted that the plastic if very durable and strong, so it is resistant to any rips or puncture. Even after rolling it up and unrolling it, we have not seen any noticeable creases in the plastic, nor has it weakened in any way.
SPECIAL FEATURES
The best part of this bib is, of course, that it can also act as a carrier bag. We love anything that serves a second purpose as it really does make a parent’s life easier. We love that when it is not a bib, you can use it as a pouch to hold feeding utensils and even small snacks inside, and that it can be attached to a diaper bag or a stroller for easy access. Even if you don’t want it hanging out, it does not take up much inside bags.
Of course, we also love the crumb catcher and it is one thing that sets it apart from regular bibs. It is the key differentiating feature for us and we think it is absolutely invaluable to making feeding time mess free.
VALUE FOR MONEY
The bib currently retails on Amazon.co.uk for £4.49, which we think is extremely good value for money. It’s not as expensive as some bibs on the market but it also doesn’t sacrifice on quality or practicality. In fact, we’d say this is an even better choice than most bibs as you are getting a 2-in-1 product for the same price!

In summary: We recommend this to any parent with a messy baby – the crumb catcher is invaluable at feeding time and will definitely help minimise any messes. Not only that, but this is also a very handy pouch and is perfect for parents and babies on the go.
