It’s lucky number seven for Kelsey Grammer! A few months ago we announcede their pregnancy on BabyNames.co.uk, and now the time has come for us to meet the little guy!
Kelsey, 61, and his wife Kayte, 35, welcomed their son last Monday, weighing 7lbs and measuring 21 inches long.
The actor’s rep confirmed the birth and said: “Both mother and son are doing great.”
Kelsey has also revealed the baby name, Auden James Ellis Grammer. The name comes from the couples’ favourite poet, W.H. Auden and singer James Taylor. Ellis is a family name, coming from Kelsey’s great-grandfather on his mother’s side.
The “Fraiser” alum a dad for the seventh time and this is his third children with Kayte. He has four other children from previous marriages.
Kelsey’s second eldest, Greer, 24, has recently gushed about becoming a big sister again. According to Celebrity baby scoop she said: “I’m very excited, I mean, my dad, he loves little kids. He always has. He’s a huge little-child fan, and he’s just so good at it. Him and Kayte are such good partners and they parent so well together and they just want this kind of big family. So now I’m going to be of seven, which is crazy.”
She went on to say: “It’s kind of awesome. I mean, it’s really fun and I know that, like, when I start having kids – which won’t be for a while – at least they’ll have lots of aunts and uncles.”
