Venus Williams has accidentally spilt the beans about the sex of her sister’s baby, despite the fact that Serena wanted to keep it a surprise!
Serena is expecting her first child with her fiancé, Reddit co-founder, Alexis Ohanian. She revealed the happy news (also accidentally) on Snapchat, where she inadvertently shared a photo of herself in a yellow swimsuit that showed off her baby bump and captioned it “20 weeks.”
It seems as if keeping baby news to herself is proving difficult for Serena as Venus let slip in a post-match interview at the 2017 French Open that her sister is going to have a baby girl. Venus referred to the baby as a ‘she’ when talking about how she wants to be her niece’s favourite aunt.
Venus also talked a bit about baby names, saying she and her other sisters, Lyndrea and Isha Price, want Serena to name the child after them.
“We’re all like, baby V, baby Lyn, baby Isha… we all want the baby to be named after us,” Venus joked.
Looks like there’s going to be another female tennis superstar in the future! Congratulations to Serena and her family!
